BCTDW's Endorsement Process
BCTDW enthusiastically invites 2026 candidates and campaigns to complete this form to enter our formal endorsement process.
Who we are:

BCTDW is the local chapter of Texas Democratic Women, the official women’s caucus of the Texas Democratic Party.

Founded in 1996, BCTDW’s members work to shape a more inclusive and representative democracy by supporting candidates, fostering community, and advocating for policies that reflect our values.
What candidates receive:

Permission (and encouragement!) to use BCTDW’s name and logo in campaign materials

Priority treatment in BCTDW’s voter education and promotions (including our social media, website, voter guide & recommendations slate, flyers, newsletters, and more)

Consideration to be one of a handful of candidates in each election cycle that are selected for direct campaign engagement (like block walking, phone banking, postcard campaigns, etc.)
Our endorsement process:

BCTDW has developed this endorsement program because we believe we need a strong voice in order to fulfill our mission, and that voters need clear and concise recommendations to help inform their decisions.

Endorsement indicates a deep alignment with BCTDW's mission, values, and goals — as well as a partisan alignment.

Candidates who do not identify as Democrats, like those in many municipal races, are not eligible for endorsement, but may still be recommended and promoted in BCTDW's slate and should still consider applying.

Candidates seeking BCTDW's endorsement should complete this form by July 2nd to enter our process.

BCTDW's Elections Committee will review each application, determine how to proceed, and may follow up with additional questions about the candidate, the campaign, or key issues. All applicants will be notified about their application status by August 1st.
